The RTC is excited to host a Sex Crimes Investigations and Crime Scene Investigations course on November 5-9, 2018. The training will be delivered by subject matter experts from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC). The course should enable participants to become proficient in the location, documentation, collection, and preservation of physical evidence commonly encountered at a crime scene. It will also enhance the knowledge and skills of active law enforcement officers in the investigation of sex crimes and sex related crimes, including suspected child sexual abuse. Participants will also be trained on how to effectively question suspects, professionally interview victims with the proper sensitivity, and provide effective courtroom testimony. Participants will represent four ECOWAS countries: Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Liberia, and Nigeria.
