International Women’s Day Alumni Event – March 8,2022

The RTC successfully hosted a workshop for Women in Law Enforcement on March 8, 2022, as part of the 2022 celebration of International Women’s Day. The workshop provided a unique opportunity for all female RTC alumnae to identify shared experiences and learn from seasoned leaders who have overcome professional challenges. The theme of the event was “Women in Law Enforcement: Empowering Women to Empower Nations”.  The event was a hybrid one with a total number of one hundred and twenty-eight (128) attendees (103 joined virtually) representing Benin, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Gambia, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Nigeria, Niger and Togo. Also present were U.S. Ambassador to Ghana, Ambassador Stephanie Sullivan, the former Chief Justice of Ghana; the Executive Director of Ghana’s Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO); the FBI Legal Attaché and the INL Director.
